Plantain (musa paradisiaca) is a tropical fruit belonging to the same family as the banana which is cultivated extensively in the tropics. It is very similar to banana, but larger in size. Banana is a fruit that is eaten raw, but plantain is always processed (cooked, baked, fried etc) before eating. Plantain Crisps are delicious and always enjoyable.
